Concert: Roger Daltrey: "Use It or Lose It" Tour

Roger Daltrey of The Who will embark on a solo tour in October with a scheduled stop in Charleston on November 24, 2009.

Roger is sure to be rocking the N. Charleston Performing Art Center with his solo material as well as renditions of The Who's classic hits.

3rd Annual Lowcountry Wine and Beer Festival

Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 6, 2009, 5-8pm. You don't want to miss the Lowcountry Wine and Beer Festival taking place at The Green at Freshfields Village.

This event benefits the Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic. What better way to support a good cause AND enjoy food and wine from around the world!

New to this year's event is the addition of craft beer for the tasting. Live music provided by Cobblestone Trio is sure to keep the evening humming. Door prizes and live and silent auctions will keep guests busy between tastings.

Tickets are $25.00 in advance and may be purchased from the following places: Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic, Schoen Ace Hardware, Rosebank Farms Cafe, Resort Quest, Indigo Books, Guest Services at Freshfields Village, Seabrook Island Real Estate, the town of Kiawah office and Kiawah Island Real Estate.

The day of the event, tickets will be available at the gate for $30.00.

6th Annual Grape Stomping Festival

Irvin-House Vineyards will host its annual grape stomping festival Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 2-6 pm.

Load up the car (admission is only $5.00 per vehicle) with your picnic basket, blanket and/or chairs. You won't want to miss this afternoon of fun.

There will be live music, activities for the kids, and grape stomping! For those who like to keep their shoes on, grape picking will be available.

Wine and other foodstuffs will be available for purchase.
