Dog Leash Law to change on IOP
Beginning March 1, 2010, all dogs living on or visiting Isle of Palms will be required to wear a city-issued collar and a city dog license. Both must be visible on the dog.
The license will cost residents $10.00; non-residents and guests will have to ante up $25.00!
As a consolation, the off-leash hours have been extended. The new hours are from 4:00 pm to 10:00 am from September 15th through March 31st and from 5:00AM to 8:00AM from April 1st to September 14th.
To read the story from the Post and Courier, click here.
Hmmm, people traveling with their dogs might want to consider visiting Seabrook Island, where there are no licensing fees for dogs.
